Catarina Barbosa, LAQV
Seminar: Reduction of carbon dioxide towards methane in ionic liquid media
Catarina Barbosa did her degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Catarina is doing her PhD with Manuel Nunes da Ponte and her research is focused on carbon dioxide hydrogenation in sustainable media.
Outside the lab Catarina enjoys sushi, gardening and playing with her children.

Tiago Ferro, UCIBIO
Seminar: Dendritic cells: Sialic acid removal improves anti-tumor immune responses
Tiago Ferro did his degree in Biomedical Engineering in the University of Lisbon. He is currently an MD student at NOVA Medical School NMS|UNL.
Tiago is doing his PhD with Paula Videira and his research is focused on the immunomodulatory role of sialic acids in dendritic cells. He is interested in deciphering the molecular mechanisms contributing for better antigen presentation and anti-tumor responses, in order to improve dendritic cell-based vaccines.
Outside the lab Tiago enjoys cinema, travelling and scuba diving.
